Sandbox

The sandbox has always been the hottest and driest part of Polaris.

As far as the eye can see, you can see nothing but jagged rocks, orange sand and bits of metal sticking out of the ground here and there. Nevertheless, it is a favourite, not a boring place!

The sandbox has always been Yennie's home. She lives, loves and breathes retro games and everything that goes with them. Yennie discovered many years ago that there are real gaming treasures hiding under the orange sand! You just have to look for them, dig them up and bring them back to life.

That's no problem, because Yennie is a real tinkerer and has managed to get every old games console up and running again. One day, she was sitting on a rock watching the red suns go down and her heart sank.

The search for new games and forgotten treasures was great, but also lonely. Lost in thought, she screwed together a few metal parts that were lying around. Suddenly she stumbled.

Didn't that look like a head?
Without even realising it, she had actually started to build a creature out of metal parts and old toy boxes! She carried on, and a few days later a true giant of steel stood before her.

Yennie wiped the sweat from her brow and said: ‘Phew, when you start building like that, you almost always miss something!’ Just as she turned her back and started to put her things away, a tinny voice suddenly sounded behind her and said: ‘I... I'm... BLP too!

Yennie stuck her tools in the sand and nearly fell over! That day she learnt that what you build with love and understanding is often more than you will ever have yourself.
